Mah Chang tile rack made by F.B.M. Co., Hoboken, N.J., no date, circa 1920's. Wood molding with a 60 degree rabbet, painted, 16" long x 1-1/4" deep x 1-1/2" high. Set of four: 3 in black; 1 in chinese red which is lettered on the front in gold lettering "East Wind."
Printed paper label on bottom of three of them, 1/2" high x 2-1/4" wide. Style no. 3684.
Original box present, in very poor condition, with remains of the end label.
With: game pieces, bone (possibly ivory) and bamboo, three-drawer oriental brass and wood case with slide front closure. Case is not marked and not considered as issued by the company.
F.B.M. Co. is a name used by Ferguson Brothers Manufacturing Co., which operated in Hoboken under that name from 1900-1945 when the business closed.
