We the undersigned to most respectfully protest against granting a License to the party or parties intending to open a saloon for the sale of beer and liquors in the house on the South West corner of River and Fourth Streets, known as No. 128 River Street, and most earnestly hope that a License will not be granted, believing that the granting of said License would be detrimental and injurious to the interests of the surrounding property and that a saloon in [sic - is] not required there by property interests or employers in that neighborhood, and your petitioners will ever pray.
