THE HOLY TRINITY EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH
Tenth and Garden Street
Hoboken, N.J.
The Rev. Chas. T. McDaniel, Pastor.
MY CHURCH
My Church is the place where the word of God is preached. It is the home of my soul, the altar of my faith and devotion. TO IT I HAVE pledged in solemn covenant, that I WILL ATTEND ITS SERVICES, GIVE TO ITS SUPPORT AND OBEY ITS LAWS. IT CLAIMS THE HIGHEST PLACE IN MY HEART, THE FIRST PLACE IN MY MIND AND ACTIVITIES AND ITS PROGRESS CONCERNS MY LIFE IN THIS WORLD AND IN THE WORLD TO COME, TO IT I OWE MY ZEAL AND MY BENEVOLENCE. WHEN I NEGLECT ITS SERVICES, I INJURE ITS GOOD NAME AND ITS POWER; I DISCOURAGE OTHER MEMBERS AND CHILL MY OWN SOUL. I SOLEMNLY PROMISED IN THE SIGHT of God to further its interests by my faithful attendance; to read the Bible; never to neglect its ordinances, to contribute to its support, to meet my fellow-members, to care for their welfare and to join them in prayer and praise and service and that promise I do now RENEW, BEFORE GOD, THE ETERNAL FATHER, JESUS CHRIST, THE REDEEMER, and the Holy Spirit, my Sanctifier, - Your pastor fervently prays that YOU MAY RENEW THE ABOVE PLEDGE CHURCH RALLY DAY - SERVICE OF CONFESSION and Absolution.
The Celebration of the Holy Communion Sunday, October 21st at 10:30 A.M.
Faithfully yours,
Rev. Chas. T. McDaniel, Pastor
