DescriptionColor copy photo of a sepia-tone photo of a costume parade on an unidentified street, Hoboken, no date, ca. 1930-1940. 8" x 10" wide print. Reverse is blank. Photographer is unknown. None of the people are identified. What the parade is for is not known. The outerwear of viewers and some participants indicates that this was not a warm weather event. The marchers in costume are all adult men or women although there is the head of a boy at the bottom wearing a cowboy hat. They are in a wide range of costumes: hobo, Uncle Sam, clown, doorman(?), nurse. Two woman are in formal men's wear and two men are in blackface. Both American flags are 48-star. The three automobiles are models from the late 1920's or early 1930's.
