The high-school-age player standing at the center is shaking hands with an African-American boy that is about 8-10 years old. He appears to be in a uniform, possibly a boy scout uniform. One player is seated on the ground wearing his baseball glove; a boy to his left is leaning on two bats. Whether the Hoboken uniforms are that of Demarest High School (Hoboken's high school at that time) or from some other locally sponsored league team is not known. A school bus is apparently in the right upper background
