DescriptionSign: Work Safely. From Maxwell House Coffee plant, Hoboken recovered ca. 2000. Heavy guage metal with ceramic field and lettering. Circa 20" long x 4" high, curved for mounted on concrete interior columns, circa 30" diameter; four mounting holes. Green background with white lettering; lettering worn; edge paint on sign front and evidence on rear of drips from painting of column. Suggests this sign had been in use for many years. Which building on the site this came from was not recorded. It is typical of what were probably many on the site. Original date of manufacture not established. Probably used circa 1960-1992 (plant closure.)
