Photograph
Black-and-white photo of a Hoboken Fire Deparment fire truck in a parade, probably in Weehawken, no date, [1959]. 3-1/2" high x 5" wide print. Reverse is blank except for the processor's ink number: 369.
The men in truck and the street location are not identified. The cake float to the left of the truck has lettering that reads: P. Ballantine & Sons Salutes Weehawken. The next line of lettering is not legible, but it probably would indicate the purpose of this parade. Ballantine was a beer brewer.
Several members of Hoboken's fire department have been known to live on Willow Terrace and thus this image would be appropriate to find in their memorabilia. This image and photo catalog 2001.119.0013 are the same print size and processor number. That image, .0013, is one that was taken in Willow Terrace.
