Five art works from the "Suspended in Time: Works on Glass" series created by Hoboken artist Mckevin Shaughnessy, 2008. Each is a symmetrical horizontal arrangment of four photographs with a gold capital letter on each one spelling a word related to the subject. All artwork is mounted directly on the reverse of single-weight glass, 11-3/4" high x 34-3/4" wide. Works are not signed or dated by artist. No frames.
Original series depicted six (of which five are here; "Giovanni" is not present although it is seen in time-line image) Hoboken businesses in a time-line sequence from the one established earliest (1913) to the one most recent (1996.) Photographs taken by Shaughnessy. People have not been identified.

Titled as listed in artist's timeline: short name and date of establishment; lettering as found in photo image. Fuller name and address of business is recorded in brackets along with one corrected date.
Work 1: Fiore's [Italian Delicatessen, 414 Adams St.] 1913. One exterior and three interior photos lettered "M U T Z" (slang for mozzarella which they make on site.)
Work 2: Schnackenberg's [Luncheonette, 1118 Washington St.] 1939. "E A T S" [Date actually established was 1931.]
Work 3: Annette's [Beauty Salon, 203 Eleventh St.] 1963. "H A I R"
Work 4: Lepore's [Home Made Chocolates, 537 Garden St.] 1982. "R I C H"
Work 5: Guitar [Bar, 160 First St., #B] 1996. "T U N E"
