Leroy Adjustable Scriber, model N3237-2, made by the Keuffel & Esser Co., N.Y., no date, circa 1944-1954. Metal with plastic handle and knob. With: paper covered (embossed with K&E logo) slipcase box with printed label.
Scriber was intended for use with the Leroy lettering template system.
Patent numbers (from 1945-1936) and the design patent would date this no earlier than 1941 and it could be up to the late 1950s. Reproduction of images of the 1941 design patent 127,962 are included here.
K+E general offices and factory were in Hoboken during the period when this item was made.
