Two-tone bronze-tone stamped metal sheet, 2-1/8" high x 4" wide; Carey name and membership number engraved; logo of association in red, white and blue. With: leather storage sleeve.

Hoboken native Carey played baseball for 8 seasons in the major leagues starting in 1935 and ending in 1946 interrupted by three years spent in World War II service in the U.S. Navy, 1943-1945.

According to the Association website, members paying dues for twenty years would then make them "Life Member" and dues would no longer need to be paid by them.
Secretary Win Clark died in office in April 1959. When Carey joined the group is unstated. It would appear that he probably became a member in 1935 when he was called up to the major leagues.
