K&E Auto-Flow Mark II drafting machine made by Keuffel & Esser Company, (Morristown, N.J.), no date, circa 1975-1980. Metal and plastic. Multiple parts. Serial number: 361107. No scales (as issued.) Lacking: instruction booklet.
The only patent number found is 3,908,276 which was issued in 1975 for a braking system.
Horizontal track (rail) for mounting with clamps at top of drafting board: 77-1/2" long x 3" high x 1-1/4" thick without clamps.
Vertical track that attaches to the top track is 51" long overall with same dimensions as the horizontal track. It has the tracking mechanism for horizontal movement at the top ca. 7" high x 12" wide. The protracter head slides vertically along with track with a travel length of ca. 44".
This item was not made in Hoboken, but it is useful as an example of the successor line to the Paragon drafting machine. This Paragon scales were compatible for use with the Auto-Flow. Note there was also later version of the Auto-Flow, the Mark III.
