Book apparently from the personal library of Edwin Augustus Stevens, (July 28, 1795 – August 8, 1868), son of Colonel John Stevens. A resident of Stevens Villa and the later Stevens Castle in Hoboken. His 1868 bequest for a school led to the establishment of the Stevens Institute of Technology, Castle Point, Hoboken. The first building erected in 1870 was named in his honor. Printed paper label on front pastedown.
