Book apparently from the personal library of Edwin Augustus Stevens, (July 28, 1795 – August 8, 1868), son of Colonel John Stevens.
A resident of Stevens Villa and the later Stevens Castle in Hoboken. His 1868 bequest for a school led to the establishment of the Stevens Institute of Technology, Castle Point, Hoboken. The first building erected in 1870 was named in his honor.
