Photographer not identified, but probably taken by Erie Railroad Co., Midland Building, Cleveland, Ohio. Reverse is blank. 2 copies.
The men are in the rigger's loft of the repair yard. Note that they use a hoist to maneuver this large piece. This image was cropped and published as postcard by the Hudson Waterfront Museum in 1991, cf. objects catalog 2003.019.0114. In the photo credit on it, it dated the image as ca. 1952. A bow fender in use on a tugboat can be seen in photo catalog 2003.049.0003.
