Notes: Avatar was not the first 3-D film, but it was done with new technology and became an event in its own right. Its success led to many other films being done in 3-D or converted to 3-D. At the same time, television manufacturers were bringing to market early versions of 3-D television. Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2012-03-21
