DescriptionArchitect's scale, 6" flat, Paragon 1399P, made by Keuffel & Esser Company, (Hoboken, N.J.), no date, circa 1950s-1962. Boxwood and white celluloid, four bevels, with black ruling; 6" long scales (6-3/4" overall.) This item belonged to Werner Hauschild who was employed as a K&E engineer working on transits and theodolites for circa 30 years starting about 1954. Scales: 3/4" - 3/8"; 1-1/2" - 3" 1/8" - 1/4"; inch - 1/2" K&E main offices and factory were in Hoboken during the period when this was manufactured. Product would have received a new product number in 1962, 56 3216.
