Bottle: E. Beitman, 196 First St. [old number], Between Madison & Monroe Sts., Hoboken, N.J. No date, circa 1880-1890. Clear mold blown glass, flat top, 4-3/4" high x 2" wide x 1-1/8" deep. Raised lettering in flat field. No maker's mark on base. Original contents not known.
Hoboken pharmacy / druggist / apothecary. Note that the 196 street number is an "old number" used prior to 1890; modern street address is 558 First St. (See objects 2010.007.0468 for a later bottle with lettering in same format - except text in circle runs vertically - but with the address as 558 First St.)
