Display Value: Good Notes: As received, almost all slides were sorted, boxed and labeled by the photographer. The typical container was a photo processor's yellow Kodak box with slip case. The container was given a very short holographic description by the photographer, sometimes with a date, but most without one. The boxes were not numbered or in any apparent sequence. Dating for a box or for an individual image was established by the processor's date on the slide mount or the photographer's ink copyright stamp. (Some boxes had labels indicating the processing date to the month; this would not have been a reliable source for this information. It is known that the photographer routinely sorted and resorted the slides and the likelihood that they were in their original box was very small.) A few hundred were received out of boxes. Some of these plus others from boxes were used by the museum curator prior to cataloging with some images resorted by him without record of their original location in the collection. No attempt was made to resort them and there are some anomalies as a result. These slides have been noted as out of box and have been sorted into groups of 40 slides for cataloging record purposes. While most of Tamberelli's images are documentary, some can be categorized as artwork. He made use of double exposures to create some images.
