Bottle: E. Beitman, 558 First St. Between Madison & Monroes Streets, Hoboken, N.J., no date, circa 1890-1910. Clear mold blown glass (light damaged - purple tint), 5-1/8" high x 2-1/8" wide x 1-1/4" deep; 7/16" bore. Raised lettering in indented flat field. No maker's mark on base. Original contents not known.

Base profile is a variant of the one commonly called Excelsior with raised 1/2" wide flat bar on each narrow side that tapers at the shoulder and ends at the neck.
See objects 2010.007.0059 for an earlier bottle with lettering in same format (except text in circle is horizontal), but with the address as 196 First St. which was the street number before 1890.
