Per Holly Metz in the caption for this photo in the "City Animals" exhibit catalog, Joseph Kostelecky is the man wearing a derby, fourth from the left. The child and the other seven mena are not identified, but it is likely that some are members of the Kostelecky family. The street name is not given (probably 224 Bloomfield St., per Metz ) and the street number at the top is not legible (22_?) as it was trimmed out out the mounted print. The signage notes "Successor to Miller & Co." At the left and right are some offered services, "Painting and Trimming," "General Blacksmithing." Sign below: "Hoboken Rubber Tire Works."
A business known as Joseph Kostelecky & Son was established in 1892 at 218 Bloomfield St. Kostelecky's have lived at 216, 218 Bloomfield St., and 165 Third St., Hoboken. Kostelecky Brothers, a tire and auto repair business in 1925, was at 216 Bloomfield St.
