Likely a button given by the American Red Cross to acknowledge a donation in that year; presumably the recipient would wear to display their support. A World War One item that could have typically been worn by a Hoboken resident, but it does not have a defined Hoboken provenance. Per donor, this was among World War I items belonging to James Lowell Russell. See objects 2014.016.0002 for another pin of that era from same donor.
