The hole in the foreground is what is left after the percolators, which were 35 feet high, for the decaffeination process were removed. This building had 3 percolators for the extraction of caffeine. Photograph was part of required federal and state documentation under the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) of the site by the property owners and developers, Maxwell Place on the Hudson.
