A W.H. Goddard sent a letter to the editor corrrecting a Fred. T. Roods' attribution of a St. Nicholas Hotel with the Mary Rogers murder in 1842. Rogers' body was found in the Hudson River off Elysian Fields, Hoboken. The crime was the inspiration of E.A. Poe's "The Mystery of Marie Roget."
