Not identified in the cover caption is director Agnes Varda, who is the woman in the background. On page [14] is an August 7, 1969 interview about "Lions Love" with its director, Agnes Varda, along with another photo of Ragni, Rado and Viva. (Rado was a character named "Jim" and Ragni was "Jerry.") Founded by Andy Warhol (he is listed as an editor in this inaugural issue; no other credited work or item related to him appears in this issue) and his associates.
