Statement made in 2006 by Burczy about this photo: THE POLE IN FRONT OF THE BRASS RAIL. In this photo the pole was originally clean. In placing a heart painting on it, it basically took on a life of its own. Instant kiosk. Both heart paintings are still up [2006].
The wood telephone pole is on south side of Second Street near the Brass Rail Restaurant. The "Burczy" poster at the top: Burczy, Byzantine, Park Pastries, 512 [actually 517] Washington St., [Hoboken], April 20, 2002.
A reproduction was used in the exhibition, The Poster Art of Robert Burczy, in the Upper Gallery, Hoboken Historical Museum, May 7 to July 1, 2006 (was scheduled to end June 11, but it was extended.)
