04: wood telephone pole at southeast corner of 4th + Bloomfield Sts., Feb. 2000; view is southeast; The Tux Shop at 341 Bloomfield is in the background.
05: pole on south side of Newark St. near Adams St., ca.2003; view is southeast with the Neumann Building in the background.
Statement made in 2006 by Burczy about these photos: The power of art posters seen here are long gone. My hunch is that somebody took them to collect them. I believe that to be true. The 'Home Spun' poster down at the west end of town is still there, but without the stubs, they have since been weeded out. The 'Everything' poster is long gone, but the photo of it was taken near the Neumann [Leather] building. The wooden frame was once a warning to "curb your dog." This 'Burczy' poster worked nice there.
Reproductions were used in the exhibition, The Poster Art of Robert Burczy, in the Upper Gallery, Hoboken Historical Museum, May 7 to July 1, 2006 (was scheduled to end June 11, but it was extended.)
