Arts & Crafts-style colonial fire lighter made by Hoboken W.I. Andiron Co., no date, ca. 1900.
Three-pieces, planished or wrought copper. base, tapered square can with hinged lid with handle; wrought iron handled fire starter with ovoid ceramic head. Manufacturer's oval stamp and pattern name, "Pilgrim", on bottom of base and can.
Base: circa 6-3/4" square x 7/8" high.
Can: 6-1/4" high x 3-3/4" square at bottom tapering to 3" square at top; handle / wall bracket (slotted hole for hanging.)
firestarter: overall 11" long; ceramic end, 2-1/4" diameter x 3-1/2" long.
