A free promotional coloring book edition issued, a 1939 giveaway, by Cocomalt. There is a full page advertisement for Cocomalt on the inside back cover. Hoboken nor the maker of Cocomalt, R. B. Davis Co., are stated in the book or the ad, but Cocomalt and Davis were located in Hoboken. See notes about this edition.
This text paper is a low quality paper typical of coloring books; it is slightly yellowed with some faint foxing near fore-edge. It is in remarkably good and apparently never used by a child.
Copy 2: poor condition: it lacks the first leaf (pp [1]-2); heavily worn; colored as would be typical for a copy played with by a young child.
The Cocomalt ad depicts a typical can. It compares the local nutrition of an "Egyptian Boy" and "Eskimo Boy" to an "American Boy" and promotes Cocomalt as necessary nourishment for the "American."
