DescriptionDecorative cast iron cover for alarm bell, "Rockwood, Worcester" from the former Bethlehem Steel Shipyard, Hoboken, no date, ca. 1930-1950. 18" diam. x 6"deep. The shipyard was also the site of the W.& A. Fletcher Co. and United Dry Dock. It was removed by R. Foster from the Hudson St. side (near 13th St.) of the former Machine Shop building. Dull, weathered red paint with some exterior rust.
