DescriptionAutograph book of Catherine Broderick, Joseph Brandt Junior High School, Hoboken, January 1930. Green embossed leather, padded covers with gilt lettering on cover; all edges gilt, circa 4-3/4" high x 6" wide x 3/4" thick. Unpaginated, circa 96 leaves. Cover faded and worn. Broderick was a graduate in of the January Class of 1930 with most of the entries dated late January of that year. Names of people found in this item are in notes. Girls referred to themselves as "Sister graduate." Typical entries of the day including one recurring motif on number of entries of using the phrase "for" "get" "me" "not" in the four corners of a leaf. Also notable are a couple slurs - "wop" and "you Jew." Imprint on page [2]: Copyright 1929 by College Entrance Book Co., Inc.
