A political campaign slide from a poster for Eagan who was U.S. Representative from New Jersey, 11th District, 1913-21, 1923-25; defeated, 1920. Since poster slide does not state "Re-elect" or "Re-nominate", it is probably from 1922 when he was running again not as an incumbent.
Eagan was a Hoboken businessman who founded the Eagan School of Business in 1894.
From Julius Durstewitz, who was the director of the Hoboken Playgrounds and a Hoboken resident. This slide (one of a group of thirty one: photo catalog 2005.078.0900 to .0931) was for use in a stereopticon projector. The Playgrounds Department's stereopticon from circa 1918 is objects 2005.078.2100.
