No price list in rear pocket (possible that a Spanish edition was not issued.) The 39th Edition Catalog published in 1943 was an interim wartime catalog. The English version of the next edition, the 40th, was issued in October 1944. As seen, the Spanish language edition followed two years later. The binding is the same in all respects as the earlier edition: same size, binders cloth, color, and titling. The traditional illustrated title is present, but with a new typeface and text in Spanish. Also, the traditional image of a black-and-white bird's-eye view of the Hoboken general office and factories appears on page II with a caption in Spanish: "Vista de las Fabricas y Edificio Gerencia General y Officinas de Exportacion." It does not label it as Hoboken. It is nineteen pages shorter than a the 1944 edition in English which is probably because large case goods such as drafting tables and files are not offered. Note also that the pages have a newly designed header using the new K&E logo introduced circa 1942. This modern header does not appear in K&E catalogs until the 1950s and then in an even simpler design. This copy here has the red ink stamp of the Mexican sales representatives on pages [i], III and 360. K&E published its first Spanish language catalog in 1892. 8vo cloth
