Full-page color advertisement by Franklin Baker Co., Hoboken, N.J. as published in Ladies' Home Journal, December 1929, pg [51]. Clipped leaf, 10-3/4" x 14" high. Promoted both types of products and the large type at bottom states "Franklin Baker's Coconut." Baker's Southern Style (hyphenation is not on can, but is used in text) Moist Coconut in cans; Baker's Premium Shred Coconut in boxed package. Recipe for Hawaiian frosting. Ad is copyright 1929 by G.F. [General Foods] Corp. and Franklin Baker is stated as "Franklin Baker Co. (Inc.)" General Foods had become the owner of it and now operated it as division; it would soon be called Franklin Baker Division of General Foods. Mail coupon includes promotion for a free recipe book and a trial (sample) half-size can for ten cents. Company street address is not given (but an additional address is found for Canada: Franklin Baker, Ltd., Sterling Tower, 19th floor, Toronto 2, Ontario.) The company was at 15th and Bloomfield Streets.
