Jim Babcock's Buckaroo Book. [N.Y.]: Treasure Chest Publications, Inc., copyright 1936. Issued by the Log Cabin Division, General Foods Corporation, Hoboken, 1936-1937. Booklet, 6" x 8-3/4" high; stiff paper cover in color; 32 pp. illustrated. A promotional premium featuring the "range boss himself - Jim Babcock" with his brand [branding iron] next to his name - "Brand of the Log Cabin Ranch." Catalogue pages for toy premiums, "Prizes for Buckaroos", that could be purchased for small amounts of money and proof of purchase - "one Log Cabin Syrup sales slip" are page 31 with offers for three different lariats (lasso ropes)and page 32 where 13 smaller items were shown. While the syrup was made in Hoboken (the city is not mentioned in it), orders for fulfillment were sent to: Log Cabin Syrup, Battle Creek, Mich. The offer expired July 1, 1937. Back cover is a Log Cabin ad with the cabin-shaped can depicted.
