Carte-de-visite of 2 girls in a rustic pose, Hoboken, 1881.
Photograph
Sepia-tone photograph of two girls in rustic scene posed in photographer's studio, Hoboken, 1881 (see note below.)
Carte-de-visite, 2-7/16" x 4" high. Photograph by Louis Nagel, 192 Washington Street [old number - modern no. 508], Hoboken. Reverse of mount has photographer's imprint; pencil caption and date. Girls are not identified.
Reverse: Taken in 1881 for Neb[u]lbilder for Hoboken. (Donor stated that the numeral 1 was present at the end of 1881, but they accidentally erased it while removing the adjacent penciled price.)
Each girl is well dressed with one wearing an apron or overdress.
This image appears to have some of the same girls as found in photos 2011.005.0112 and .0127, undated carte-de-visites from the Nagel Studio. These photos were once apparently in the same photo album (donor stated they were not in an album when purchased, but were available at the same time.)
