RE-OPEN HOLLAND TUNNEL
NEW YORK: A policeman slows cars down as they pass through the Holland tunnel, re-opened to traffic late May 15. The Manhattan-bound tube of the tunnel was tied up for 56 hours as workers strove to repair the widespread damage caused by the explosion of 4,400 gallons of carbon disulphide in a truck.
