Print on file, 10" x 12" wide. Photographer not indicated.
Museum does not own original; scanned 2012 from original mounted print, 19-3/4" high x 24-3/4" wide. High resolution digital images on file, media archive; PDF on file. Per owner, it was founded in discarded material on the site of the former processing plant with all faults and matte with label "Hoboken Plant." See notes.
View is northwest showing the factory in the foreground with the famous "Good to the Last Drop" neon sign, buildings, parking lots, piers and pier sheds and barges. To the right is the Bethlehem Steel Shipyard which is apparently still in operation although only one ship is seen.
A good view of the northeast to northwest areas of Hoboken including the Fourteenth Street Viaduct, the Lipton Tea / Standard Brands Building and other industrial buildings in the area. Some railroad tracks seen near the shoreline beyond the Lipton building.
On the Maxwell House site is the remains of a railroad car float bridge at the waterfront (the area now called a beach) where rail freight cars were once loaded and unloaded.

Notes: 400 dpi same size scan. Note that this view is the same as used by Gans and Vallone as part of Maxwell House documentation, which they dated as ca. 1960. Field to Factory: The Story of the Maxwell House Coffee Plant. By Philip A. Hayden and Glenn R. Modica. April 2005. has this photo on page [32] dated as circa 1990; photo was courtesy of Kraft Foods; that date is too late for some details seen at the shipyard piers and on Fourteenth Street.
