Bills and receipts for goods and services purchased by First Church of Christ, Scientist, 829 Bloomfield Street (or addressed to the Christian Science Reading Room at 910 Washington St. which was the mailing address for the church), 1949 to 1987. Hoboken vendors (all street addresses below are in Hoboken.) Various dates and formats.
The expenditures are rather ordinary, but they are documentary evidence of some businesses then present in Hoboken and how they were patronized. Most are bills of sale, statement, but occasionally accompanied by a job quote. Useful in respect in church finances and operations. See no. 6 for a moving bill which was likely the move of the Reading Room from Washington Street to 204 Ninth St.
Term "item" in this list refers to the number of bills or receipts, not the number of items found on such documents.
