Bronze statue (sculptor: George E. Bissell, 1839-1920) on stone pedestal of Sam Sloan (1817-1907), President of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, 1867-1899. Monument dedicated August 3, 1908. Located in Lackwanna Plaza (now Warrington Plaza) near the Lackawanna Terminal (later Erie-Lackawanna and currently known as Hoboken Terminal), it has had various placements within that area. Its earliest position was near and facing to the Ferry and Main Waiting Room entrances.
