In Effect June 16, 1912. 40 pp., 4-1/4" wide (opens to 8-1/2" wide) x 8-3/4" high. Lackawanna Railroad is the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad. The schedule is only for long distance trains and where suburban stations are listed, it is only for times associated with the longer routes. The pages here are two to each side of a leaf, e.g., the covers are pages [39-40] and the first opening is to pp. [1-2.] While New York is the listed eastern terminal for some routes, the trains actually departed from or arrived at the Lackwanna Terminal in Hoboken. The Lackawanna Ferry was the transportation to or from New York to the terminal as is noted in the schedule. Center map (pages [19-20] + [21-22]) is a D.L. & W. R.R. system or route map (including "Through Connections") that goes as far west as Saint Louis. Another map is seen on pages [33-34] showing Hoboken and New York City. This map details the Lackawanna's operation including the D.L.& W. Coal Yards, their ferries, connections, and N.Y. offices. Names of steamship lines are given for Hoboken and New York piers. Curiously, their competitors are also on this map with some detail: river crossings (including the Hudson and Manhattan R.R.) of the Pennsylvannia Railroad (tunnels and ferries) and the Erie R.R. are shown. Other details include Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal, the rail tunnels under the East River (including subways) and other transit points.
