Jack Kirchner was Jacob J. Kirchner, grandfather of donor Diane Michel Brancato who provided the information that he was in the volunteer fire department of Guttenberg. He had moved his family there from Hoboken at an earlier date.
Kirchner had been (and presumed to still be at the time of this photo) a long-time member of the Active Boat Club which was established in Hoboken, but later moved out of the city.
