Most leaves are printed two sides with spot color to indicate the red, yellow and green signals depicted in the numerous diagrams.
On April 1, 1976, Conrail took over operation of the bankrupt Erie Lackawanna Railway including the suburban and regional passenger service at Hoboken. This instruction book would have been typical of those used by Hoboken employees.
