Notes: Per eBay source: THE FOLLOWING AD IS PART OF A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF 1927 ADVERTISEMENTS WE ARE OFFERING . PUBLISH[ed] BY A PHOTO-ENGRAVING COMPANY TO SHOW EXAMPLES OF THE WORK THEY HAD DONE. MANY OF THESE WERE USED IN WEEKLY PUBLICATIONS, CATALOGS AND OTHER MEDIAS AND WERE NEVER PRINTED IN THIS SIZE OR ON THIS QUALITY OF PAPER. MOST GIVE THE PROCESS OF HOW THE PRINTING WAS ACTUALLY COMPLETED WITH A FOOT NOTE STATING THAT THEY WERE COURTESY OF THE MANUFACTURER [cataloger's note: this is not true for the the item here.] --------- According to Lewis Korn, the Pine Apps candy was created when one of the Fisher brothers were on a trip and noted that pineapples being processed for canning were being cored. The cores had no commercial value and were disposed off. They had some barrels of the cores shipped to them and developed a mashing and cooking process that made them usuable for candymaking. Thus their line of Pine Apps was created. Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2012-05-15
