Name in pencil on reverse as is typical of a rolled diploma during ceremony. A gold ribbon with black ribbon below framed diagonally in top right corner (removed for imaging of full diploma; shown in another detail image). The black ribbon, which is ca. 16" long, may have been the usual type that diplomas are tied with; the significance of the gold ribbon which is only as long as shown is not indicated, but it have been for an honor. Diploma is dampstained, darkened and brittle. Removed from frame, retained and stored.
