Holographic ink adn pencil caption on the reverse with rubber stamped date of Aug. 28, 1921 plus several pencil notes typical of printer's mark-up.The "1 C" likely means "1 column" and the day may be 'sunday.' The pink paper residue may be from a newpaper morgue attachment. The front has grease pencil crop marks and annotation. The article this appeared in was probably about the August 24, 1921 fire on the Pier 5 of the Hoboken docks.
Relationship to the Miller or Markey families is unknown, except that Mrs. Frank Markey (Mary Miller Markey, Mary Henry Miller) probably was in the news article for the her American Red Cross Volunteer role.
Gilday was fire chief from 1918-1944.
