Cardboard tube with slip lid, 2" diameter x 3-3/8" high including slip lid. Container retains its original contents of one quarter pound (four ounces) of pharmaceutical grade borax (U.S.P.) Printed paper label around entire container which functioned as a seal; it had to be cut (or perhaps a string pulled) at the lid in order to be opened. Top and bottom are plain cardboard.
