All people seen are men or youth of varying ages plus two or three boys. The boys and a lounging man at the far center are engaged in a game of chess. None are identified.
3-1/4" square glass mount with usual black paper edges plus white area for labeling at top back edge; image 2-3/8" high x 2-7/8" wide. No markings on item except for ink pen at back top: S. 25

The vessel that these passengers are on likely sailed to New York, but unknown if it was a steamship line that docked in Hoboken. They may have been processed as immigrants at Ellis Island.
The photograph may be considered useful as a typical ship board scene of the era.
