View is southwest with a Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad freight building on the south side of Observer Highway. The streetcar trestle has been demolished, but two steel columns and a stairway from the street remain in this area.
A sign attached to one steel post calls the bus stop, "Bus Station." A hand-lettered sign hangs across the bottom of the stairs: Closed Buses Running in Place of Cars.
Automobile at lower right has 1949 license plate.
Trolley service was discontinued in late summer of 1949.
