It is being [re]christened by Mrs. Walter Rice, wife of the vice-president of Reynolds Metal company, the vessel's operator. Bunting hangs from the bow and is also on the christenening platform. Flag has 48 stars so the event had to have happened prior to 1959. Mimeographed press release from the Wendell P.
