Hagadah. Passover Seder Service. Compliments of Maxwell House Coffee; Good to the Last Drop; Kosher for Passover. A General Foods Product. Copyright 1941.
The Haggadah was a religious manual used for the Jewish Passover holiday. The copy here was an edition of a promotional advertising item first issued by the company in 1932 (with an edition still offered by them as of 2013.) Hoboken was then the home of the largest Maxwell House Coffee plant of General Foods. It is likely that the work itself was produced in New York rather than Hoboken although it may be been distributed from here.
Softcover, 4-3/4" x 6-3/4" high, [64] pp., illustrated, plus covers. (While unpaginated, a previous owner has numbered pages 1-62 in pencil starting on actual page [3].) Text in English and Hebrew.
Page [2] mentions the company and the inside back cover is an advertisement for the coffee including the depiction of a can. Also "Certified Kosher for Passover by Rabbi Hersch Kohn of New York and other Rabbis."
Copyright date is on the back cover. "Prepared by Joseph Jacobs Jewish Market, New York, N.Y."
