The photographer was Donald "Red" Barrett. Barrett was employed as a longshoreman on the Hoboken piers. The Museum does not own the original. A digital scan and color reference print are on file.
The vessel and men are not identified. The view is on board the vessel to the southwest. The back of the Main Post Office in the right background and to the left is the Hoboken Land Improvement Company Building.
